Young people need to know what they believe.
What happens if you don’t know what where you stand? You are unstable and you certainly don’t move forward. You don’t have a purpose in school, in work, in friends, in dating… in life.
When you don’t have a purpose to live by, because you don’t know what you believe, you will then go with whoever does, or worse yet, you’ll go with what feels good. And that’s not ever pretty. Yes, in life you will not always agree with everyone, and that’s ok. What others believe might shape your thinking in what you believe. And that’s ok too. The most important thing:
Having a foundation in the truth
What is true? That which works for ALL people, in ALL places, for ALL times. What I’m I directing your attention to as you build your foundation in truth? THE BIBLE.
If you don’t know where you stand, you will not be standing at all. The bible clearly states you’ll be tossed one way and the other.
We should stand in unity, Ephesians tells us, not in total agreement but in unity. It goes on to say this…
Ephesians 4:
14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
Don’t be an infant, know what you believe!
Then, go and change the world.
More ‘brainless’ chatter coming…
