FRIDAY NIGHTS ROCK!

What do you do when there is nothing to do?

It turns out that Friday nights still ROCK !

As a general rule in life, people live for the weekend. But what is it that you look forward too? No school? No work? Sometimes both of those things get in the way of the weekend too!

Well, there is something you can do.

ROCK URBAN’S BUILDING R – open 8P Friday nights beginning 2021!

$1 Shakes. $1 Pizza. Games. Friends. Music. Study. Open Gym.

It’s really whatever you make to be. Optional: music training and performance, prayer and counseling help.

For all young adults. Come with intentionality: mentor someone else / minister to someone else / learn something new / form book club / start a band / the sky is not even the limit!

NOTE: this is not a youth event or a babysitting service. Join us, yes, but join us with a purpose! Because you have a purpose. Come find it!

Young people need to know what they believe.

What happens if you don’t know what where you stand? You are unstable and you certainly don’t move forward. You don’t have a purpose in school, in work, in friends, in dating… in life.

When you don’t have a purpose to live by, because you don’t know what you believe, you will then go with whoever does, or worse yet, you’ll go with what feels good. And that’s not ever pretty. Yes, in life you will not always agree with everyone, and that’s ok. What others believe might shape your thinking in what you believe. And that’s ok too. The most important thing:

Having a foundation in the truth

What is true? That which works for ALL people, in ALL places, for ALL times. What I’m I directing your attention to as you build your foundation in truth? THE BIBLE.

If you don’t know where you stand, you will not be standing at all. The bible clearly states you’ll be tossed one way and the other.

We should stand in unity, Ephesians tells us, not in total agreement but in unity. It goes on to say this…

Ephesians 4:

14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Don’t be an infant, know what you believe!

Then, go and change the world.

More ‘brainless’ chatter coming…

HOMETOWN…

Grandville. Wyoming. Hudsonville. Jenison.   =Jerusalem.

Years back I was challenged by a God-given principle that is yet again written on another sticky note placed on my desk; “What can I do for someone other than me?”

It’s an important question. If everyone lived asking themselves this question, we would live in an entirely new world.

It’s also biblical. Reaching first our own town (Jerusalem).

CAMPUS KINISI is about morals = right and wrong. Whether you want to believe the Bible or not is totally up to you… but certainly you know it’s right to respect others, care for them, and make impact on the people around you in a positive way!

KINISI NIGHT – is a worship and bible-based night where teens can gather together to grow, be challenged, and bring friends that need hope. We offer hope!

Join the discussion. COMING TO YOUR CAMPUS SOON with candy and cool stuff to talk about!

KINISI is back…

What is CAMPUS KINISI?

It’s a High School movement started at Rock Urban and ROCK YOUth.

There are so many people searching. High School is a hotbed of opportunity, for success or destruction. Everyone knows what a destructive habit is. It’s not good. It disrupts your potential. It’s not the opportunity you want knocking on your door. We also know what success is. It’s making it. Doing something worthwhile. Will you this school year?

Our missionEngage Students to Engage God and Make Right Choices. Engage students = causing someone to get involved in something. Engage God = morally committed to a particular aim or cause. Right choices = Not wrong or destructive.

Our aim – To get to know students / To get students to think for themselves / To help them stay the course by plugging them in to the local church.

When does it happen?

MONTHLY – One Thursday night a month is Worship Night. Meeting at Rock Church (www.therockmi.org) in Grandville. Stay posted for the Fall Kick-off.

WEEKLY – Every week we visit the High School cafeteria, during lunch of course. A, B, C or 1, 2, 3… whatever you may call it.

DAILY – You carrying the movement. Claim your campus.

Where does it happen?

Grandville High School / Grandville Middle School / Hudsonville High School / Hudsonville Middle Schools / Jenison High School

What’s KINISI mean?
